Thank you for those who prayed at CCMB's missions meeting. Lily seems to be feeling better now.
Please continue to pray for our church planting mission in Ikskile, Latvia.
- For at least 1 person to be saved and added to the church in this month
- That Brenten would be used at a youth camp for teens from troubled families June 23-30th
- For Caleb to make some friends this summer and begin speaking Latvian with them.
- For Lena to keep learning the language, for confirmation if Ieva is to be our new teacher.
- For the preparation of evangelists coming from Monterey for a mission trip in August.
Brenten,
ReplyDeleteI cried when I read your prayer request, that at least 1 person would be saved! I know the ground is hard where you labour, and I pray the Lord will grant an increase 'exceedingly abundantly' beyond all you ask or think! Praying for you!
Btw, where is the TN team coming from--we live in NC, but very close to Tennessee!
Love and prayers, John and Linda Owen
Linda, We have experienced been hard soil and slow growth here. But thank you for your encouragement and prayers. Thursdays, I have been sharing the gospel in Riga, and last week, one man was ready to listen to the gospel and recieved Jesus' free gift of eternal life. He didn't know how to pray so I led him in a prayer of repentance, afterward he wanted to write it on down so he wouldn't forget! Pray for him, his name is Roma, and he is a heroine addict. I encouraged him to continue in Jesus' word, to be His disciple indeed, and he would know the truth and the truth would set him free. He also has my phone number and an address of another church that has a ministry for addicts. I will post some pictures on my blog soon. Praise the Lord for answering prayer. May there be many more this month!
ReplyDeleteLinda, the Tenesse team coming in July is from the Jamestown area. It's the same team that came last year when a dozen or more children and 2 parents repented. Many of them did not get plugged into a church, so I am concerned also to pray that the Lord would add to the church those who are being saved.
